The Best Cat Ever, I miss you everyday
November 1991 - November 2012
It's all in how you choose to view the world...
I don't think a person is defined by just one thing.  There are many facets that make up an individual.
I get great satisfaction in doing a job well, learning new things and embracing the adventure of exploration whether at home or abroad.
A person shouldn't be afraid to redefine themselves multiple times in their lifetime.
Ralph Waldo Emerson is one of my favorite philosophers and he summed it up well:
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”  Of course, I'd say you can do this AND be happy.  The happiness comes from the doing.

I grew up on Lake Erie and being near water is important to me.  That's one of the reasons I think San Francisco is such an amazing place!

This photo is of my chidhood home on the lake.  They say you can never go back but it's for sale...

Why is it that a person's travel list doesn't get shorter when they go somewhere, it gets longer?
This photo was taken on Naxos Island, Greece.  The locals make wine and clean the casks at the beach.
“Life is a journey, not a destination.”
“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.”

“Most of the shadows of this life are caused by standing in one's own sunshine.”
“Be silly. Be honest. Be kind.”

The instinct is to fly when pushed out of the nest.  Don't be afraid; you'll find your wings when you need them.
